There are many simple and inexpensive things you can do with basic items found around the home to create your own beauty products. Below are some unorthodox tips to get you started, and I've personally road tested each and every one of them with great success.

Used Oatmeal

I bet you never thought of using used oatmeal as an exfoliator. Am I right? Simply take a handful of porridge oats with you into the shower. Dampen it with the water and then scrub yourself from top to toe, rinsing it off when you have finished. The texture of the oats actually works wonders and your skin will feel very soft and cleansed.

Sugar Scrub

Take a small portion of sugar into the shower with you. Add some olive oil to the sugar and mix it into a paste. You may also consider adding some other essential oils for extra fragrance. Scrub yourself with the mixture and then rinse. The result will be beautifully soft skin, without the expensive price tag.

Face Mask

There are a number of everyday items that can substitute for an expensive face mask treatment. Try using high quality honey or yoghurt to create a face mask. Leave it on for about 15 minutes before removing, which will result in a healthy exfoliated finish. Yoghurt contains lactic acid which is especially useful for exfoliation, as it is one of the main components of a ****** peel.

Aspirin Mask

Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which is a major component in many top grade exfoliator products. Take a bunch of aspirins (about 4-6 will do) and crush them up, adding water to mix into a paste. Smear the paste over your face just like you would with any ****** treatment, and leave on for about 15 minutes. Rinse this off, and be very careful not to let any of the mixture get into your eyes. You will find this works wonders for oily skin plagued by blemishes or acne. If used once a week, you should begin to notice a significant reduction of these skin problems.
